What is Veil and how is it different from a traditional bank or crypto app?
Veil is an omni bank that combines traditional banking services and crypto into one platform. Unlike banks, Veil works globally and integrates crypto natively. Unlike crypto apps, Veil provides real banking rails cards, payments, and fiat accounts without forcing you to use multiple platforms
Can I use Veil for both fiat and crypto in one account?
Yes. Veil lets you hold, spend, send, and swap fiat and crypto from a single account. You can move between fiat and crypto seamlessly, use cards linked to your balances, and send payments globally without switching apps.
Is Veil compliant and do I need to complete KYC?
Veil is built to be compliance-compatible. Our services require KYC depending. Unlike other apps we only request a simple ID photo + selfie and address, no SIN/SSN, Proof of address, Proof of income or more. Veil follows a selective disclosure model only collecting what is necessary to provide the service.
How does Veil protect my privacy?
Privacy is built into Veil’s architecture. The platform uses minimal data collection, user-controlled permissions, and privacy-preserving technologies where permitted like our privacy swap and bridge. All KYC and banking data goes direct API into our partner bank to open the accounts, our internal team doesn't even see the KYC data. Veil does not sell user data and avoids unnecessary exposure while remaining compliant with regulations. Our partner bank in Laos values privacy, and Laos banking / privacy laws are strict for clients of banks globally - non reporting to Western jurisdiction standards and crypto regulation.
Do you guys have a banking license?
No, we operate as a Fintech SaaS for users, operating directly into our banking partner based in Laos which allows us to open fiat bank accounts for users to accept and send payments from.
